Guerlain Terracotta Mosiac Face & Body Bronzer

This compact is HUGE!

You can see design through clear brown lid

Not the best picture for showing color, but just showing for size, All 3 are Guerlain bronzers.

I have been going a little Bronze crazy lately, so here is my newest purchase.

Guerlain Terracotta Mosiac Tan enhancing bronzer, for face & decollete, the compact is huge and gorgeous.
I love the gold over spray, but sadly it comes off pretty quick, after 2 uses at least.

The price tag on this bad boy is $69.00 bucks, but again it is huge and oh so gorgeous and Limited Edition.

My only complaint is the clear brown plastic lid, it seems very cheap. So I do feel they skimmed on the packaging on this one. The details of the actually product itself  are pretty amazing, it looks like little bricks of different colors.

It does also have the same signature Guerlain scent as most of their products do. I wish this one had a beachy scent or just something different.

Can one have too many bronzers?? Hmmm.....

I mean I'm not going for the Snooki tan or anything that drastic,  just a nice color.

XOXO,

Vicki

Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing makeup base Review & Swatches

The famous Chanel Soleil De Tan Cream Bronzer

Left: Swatched heavily, Right: Blended out

I first purchased this about two and a half to three years ago.  I believe it was called Bronze Universal back then; they have since changed the name.

Anyway, I didn't really care for it because it seemed to simply even out my skin tone, like a foundation would.   I get pretty tan in the summer, so I ended up returning it.

Since then I have heard it all; how this is the greatest bronzer ever; how it is Holy grail of bronzers;  best thing since sliced  bread, etc.  I didn't even think to give it a second chance, until now.

I have been on such a bronzer kick lately. I am on the search for my perfect bronzer this summer, so I decided to give it another try, and to my disappointment, I still feel the same about this product as I did when I first tried it. Nothing special and certainly not worth the $48.00 price tag.

I do like the unique texture it has, almost like a thick mousse or gel, but that's not really a reason to buy it.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this is best bronzer ever, as so many claim?

Let me know your thoughts?

My search continues for my perfect bronzer.

Jouer Lip Gloss Swatches & Review

All look very similar on my lips

Shell, Mimosa, Sunset

Shell, Mimosa, Sunset

I have not seen too many blog posts on this brand or heard much about Jouer before. So when Beauty.com was having a Friends and Family sale,  I though "what the heck", I will give this brand a try.

I got three different lip glosses;  Shell which is described as a shimmering Coral pink, Mimosa described as Shimmering golden pink, and Sunset which is described as Shimmering Pink gold.  I don't know what I was thinking when ordering all these; they are very similar to each other, as you can tell by the swatches.

These have Vitamins A, C & E, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Pomegranate Seed Oil to moisturize, soothe, nourish, rejuvenate and protect, keeping lips smooth and hydrated.

The glosses glide on smoothly and are not too tacky.  The downfall is they do not last very long on the lips at all,  which is a bummer because the price on these glosses is $20.00 each.  I did get 20% off on the sale, but even at $16.00 these are not worth it.

The colors are nice, but I should have gotten a better range of colors.  None the less, the quality on these glosses is just not there especially for the price.

Have any of you tried these glosses before??

                                                           XOXO,

                                                                    Vicki

Urban Decay Rollergirl palette Swatches & Review

Woodstock, Verve, Suspect, Darkhorse Eyeshadow , Whiskey liner, Crush Lip Junkie

I really like the Roller Girl palette from Urban Decay, though it has a few repeat colors, I like the pop of color they added with woodstock in the mix of neutrals.

Woodstock is a beautiful bright pink with a little shimmer, which can easily be doubled as a blush, Yes I use it both ways myself and it looks gorgeous.

This is definitely a must have for your purse. I also love that they added a lip junkie gloss instead of the usual eye primer, which I am sure we all have a ton of and are sick of having so many.

I hope in the future they will add different color glossed to sets, because it is a nice change, and a girl can never have too many glosses in her stash.

I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Let me know your thoughts??

Vicki

Chanel Riva VS Sally Hansen Barracuda swatches / Dupe Alert

Sally Hansen Barracuda and Chanel Riva

Different lighting, but still look same

3 nails have Barracuda and the other 2 Chanel

Can you tell?? ( Excuse my dry hands)

*DUPE ALERT*

I bought Chanel Riva months ago and I liked the color, but the consistency is very poor, You need  3 coats minimum and still the color pay off is not 100%...I decided to keep it though, because I didn't have any nail polish close too it.

Fast forward to Mother's Day, I was in Target and seen the new Tracy Reese Collection for Sally Hansen, which I knew was coming out, but in my area it had not been found. I purchased 3 colors from the collection.

So when I got home and swatched Barracuda it look so familiar to something I had, so I went through my nail stash and low and behold Chanel Riva.

Chanel Riva is a little more blue where as Barracuda a little more green blue, you can not tell the difference unless you are in direct sunlight and even then the difference is very minimal. It's a  Great Dupe!

Chanel Riva does have a teeny tiny bit of shimmer, but again I can barely see it. I believe Riva was L.E. and was $25.00 and I know Sally Hansen Barracuda is also L.E. and I paid $ 5.00 for it.

It is still around ladies so you better get a hurry if you want it.

My thumb, middle and pinky fingers have Barracuda on them and the my other two nails have Chanel Riva.

My Favorite things / My go to products

No Flash

With Flash

1.) Graftobian Oxy Derm Moisturizer- I love this moisturizer, I have been using it for over a year, it doesn't break me out and I have oily skin and his works great, its a very light feeling moisturizer, great for the summer.

2.) Benefit the PORE fessional - along with my oily skin, I have large pores and this gives me a flawless makeup application. This can be applied under or over foundation, I prefer under.

3.) Purely Cosmetics mineral foundation - my shade is cornsilk, I can't say enough good things about this foundation, it's fabulous!!  Bare Escentuals steered me away from mineral foundation, I don't like B.E. foundation at all, it made my face very itchy and seemed way too drying. But Purely Cosmetics brought me back to mineral foundation, No Bismuth in this product and you get a lot more product and less money!

4.) It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer - I don't use this under eyes personally, I use it for my Hyper-pigmentation on my cheeks, I have used many different concealers and this is the absolute best!!! It does not cover my hyper-pigmentation 100%, but it comes closer to any concealer I have used to do the job. I love it.

5.) Tarte Amazonian Clay - Blissful is the shade I find myself grabbing the most these days. I love this blush, it is a long lasting blush, only downfall is the price. It retails for $25.00 ea.  I own 3 different shades at the moment.

6.) Stila Make Me Blush - This is another I always grab for too, this gives you a peachy - pink glow, I know this is a L.E. so I did buy a backup, yes its that good.

7.) Dior Skin Nude Glow in Aurora-  This one too is a L.E. but still available, so If you like it, get it soon, I really like this bronzer, it gives me a very Nice healthy glow.

8.) Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finish- What can I say, " Diamonds are a girls best friend " , and this makes your face feel so silky smooth and look flawless.

9.) Mac Pro Longwear Lip Creme in unlimited- This is my go to lip color, I swear this color goes with everything and looks great.

10.) Mac Ever Hip Cream sheen - I am glad this was a repromote, it is perfect for summer and it looks good on everyone.

11.) Philosophy Summer Grace L.E. Perfume - I love this fragrance, it is so light and just smells so good.

12.) Nfu-oh Nail Laquer in #64 - I love the 3D duo chrome effect this gives your nails, this is a  showstopper! I always get tons of compliments when I wear it.

13.) Philosophy Help Me - Retinol night treatment - my must have night treatment, I rediscovered it recently, and now I'm hooked again.

14.)  Smashbox #22 Fan brush - I use this blush with all my blush, gives such a great and light application, This is one of my favorite brushes of all time.

Let me know  what your favorite are??

Sally Hansen Barracuda, First Kiss & Coral Fever swatches

Coral Fever, Barracuda, First Kiss

Coral Fever

Thick applicator

Barracuda ( my favorite )
First Kiss ( second favorite)
Coral Fever & First Kiss

I finally found these today at Target!  They were on an end cap display. A few colors were already sold out.

I am a little disappointed with the formula, it does not apply evenly despite the thick applicator brush.
I just applied two coats, but I did not use a base coat, so next time I will try that to see if it helps.

I love Barracuda and First kiss.  I am not too crazy about Coral Fever; I think I just grabbed it because it was the last one. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty, but the other two colors really pop out to me.

I know these are selling out quickly and are getting hard to find, so you might wanna go take a look to see If your local Target has them..      ( Click on any picture to enlarge image)

My Walgreens and Rite-Aid both have not gotten these in stock yet and they are not sure they will.

** GOOD NEWS*** One of these colors is a great Chanel dupe! That will be up shortly after this post!

                                                                 XOXO,

Sparrow Me The Drama w/o flash

Planks A Lot w/ flash

Planks A Lot w/o flash

Silver Shatter  w/flash

Silver Shatter  w/o flash

I went to a local beauty supply store and they had the New OPI Pirate's of the Caribbean collection in stock.

I only picked up these four colors for now, the other colors I didn't love, but maybe they will grow on me.
The colors are not very unique but they are really nice, they are very spring ish colors ( not a word ) But you get the point looking at the colors.

The texture on these seem a little thick ( which is not a bad thing in this case) , because the application is so smooth and opaque with two coats.  Some polishes that have a thick formula don't always apply very well, but this is not the case here.

Silver Shatter is very pretty and looks much better with a top coat.. I still prefer Black shatter over the silver. But it is nice to have both.

I think the collection is worth taking a look at, and I do recommend picking up Silver Shatter if anything.

I paid $6.99 for mine, but I know prices vary depending where you purchase them from.

Let me know what you think and what colors you pick up?

                                                                        XOXO,

                                                                                   Vicki

Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finishing powder

Diamond's are a girls best friend

Diamond Perfect Finishing powder is a stand alone powder in my opinion; very different from anything else on the market. It  has a patented diamond complex as well as nearly a carat of diamonds in each 6 gm jar.        ( Yes it's true )

The finish you get from this powder is a flawless fresh looking face, like an airbrush effect from a powder. This has no shimmer or glitter in it.  The powder is so finely milled, it blends in like butter.
It gives you a glow from within look, but with no white residue on your face.  You just look as though you have flawless skin.

You can actually use this under or over foundation. I know it sounds odd, but trust me it's an unbelievable powder.
It's kind of like Make Up for Ever HD powder, but 100% better. Best part is it only cost $18.50 for 6gm.

I highly recommend this powder!  You won't regret it.  You all know " Diamond's are a girls best friend ".

You can purchase this item here, just click the link: http://www.purelycosmetics.com/
