Laura Mercier Rose Rendevous VS. Estee Lauder Modern Mercury

I love this one :)

Very pretty too

L-R Laura Mercier & Estee Lauder Dry , Laura Mercier & Estee Lauder Wet

Can you tell the difference

I have heard so many people say these might be a possible dupe for each other, I have never seen any swatches and comparisons, so I decided to see for myself.

While they do look a lot alike, the textures are not the same.  Laura Mercier Rose Rendevous has a luxurious milled texture to it,  where as Estee Lauder's Modern Mercury has the new gelee formula, which feels so silky smooth to the touch.

They are both  Limited Edition, and you will probably have more luck finding the Laura Mercier one, because it is a newer product.  It retails for $42.00.

I prefer the Estee Lauder Mondern Mercury , because it has more staying power, which means it last longer and it is more like a cream to powder finish, where as the L.M one is just powder.  It retails for $40.00 if you are lucky enough to find it.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and let me know if you picked any of these gorgeous palettes up?

Revlon Colorburst Holiday 2011 Limited Edition Lip Gloss Swatches

These color are amazing

Taken with flash
Colors in order of pictures:  Spice it up , Chilled Frappe , Decadent, Cocktail Dress
Natural light

Revlon has new Limited Edition glosses for holiday 2011,  YAY!!

I picked up only 4 of the colors.: Spice it up , Chilled Frappe , Decadent, Cocktail Dress.

My two favorites are Spice it up, and Decadent!! The other two are very pretty and are layering glosses for sure, the color is very sheer especially Chiiled Frappe.
Spice it up and Decadent can be worn alone or with a liner, and they are really pigmented.

The texture is really smooth on these glosses. I believe they are around $7.49 or so depending where you buy them.

They all have cute names too, I think there is a total of 8 glosses from this collection, but these are the ones that I fancy :)

They also have new nail polish colors as well on the same display.

Wet n Wild Baked, Not Fried Palette Swatches

Here is the last installment of the new Wet n Wild Baked holiday palettes. This one is probably my favorite. All the colors are super wearable  :)

Final thoughts: For $4.99 and right now they are BOGO , get them. I think they are pretty good and you can't beat the price. These are way better then the Sephora baked palettes and a lot cheaper.  These are Exclusive to Walgreens , and they don't have many on the display , 3 of each color to be exact.

I do wish the packaging was better, it is a bit flimsy and cheap with no snap on cover, so that is a downfall.

Applied Dry

Applied Wet

You might start checking your local Walgreens, because they will sell out!
I hope you have enjoyed my post on all three palettes :)

Wet n Wild Bake-Off Contest Holiday 2011 palette Swatches

As mentioned  in prior post, I will be doing all 3 palettes in separate post, so it doesn't get too picture heavy, like I usually like to do :)

Bake-Off Contest!

The middle left color on picture above, reminds me of planet earth, when looking from space view! LOL Maybe it's just me.

Applied Dry

This particular palette is pretty pigmented when applied dry, but I still personally prefer using these wet. I like the sheen it gives when they are wet. I do love blue eyeshadow but I don't really like wearing blue eyeshadow myself, it still reminds me of 70's and 80's.

Applied Wet

I do like all 3 palettes , but I prefer the other two palettes over this one, because like I said I really don't wear blue shadows.

Wet n Wild Baking a Cake Holiday 2011 palette Swatches

These are the new Wet n Wild Holiday 2011 baked collection and these are also a Walgreens Exclusive.
I like these so much better then last years palettes :)  They only have 3 of each color palette on the display so If you want them I suggest you hurry, because they will sell out fast!

Flash

I bought all 3 palettes but will only be doing a post one at a time for each color palette, because it would have gotten picture heavy and I dont want to spam the blog with tons of pictures in one post..( Like I have never done that before)

No Flash

Applied Dry

I have to say I am pretty pleased with the quality of these, considering they are only $4.99 ea, and right now they are on BOGO sale, so yes def. worth the price!!

Applied Wet

So what do you think of these? Do you plan to pick these up??  I know the assumption that many of you have, is that Wet n Wild is cheap quality because lets face it, we all probably tried the brand for the first in Junior High...hehe
That is so not the case anymore, the quality is actually pretty good! The price is still very affordable too.

Bottom Line: You need at least one

Sephora Friends & Family Haul

I didn't pick up anything real exciting during Sephora friends & Family sale , just a few items I have been wanting to try :)

This is my favorite item I purchased from the sale,  Nars Danmari cheek palette,  this is a really good value too.

I like this set too, swatches and review to come :)

YSL Volupte Sheer Candy glossy balm in #6 Luscious Cherry (Such pretty packaging)

Fresh mini balm trio set

Been really wanting to try these Clarisonic brush heads. Wonder if they work for extra deep pore cleansing as they say? Hmmm. (Skeptical)

Oh yes and the free samples!

Basically everything I got from the sale,  I like so far, still haven't tried the Clarisonic brush heads though.

Now I'm waiting for the VIB sale to hit in the next week or so, because I do want a few more things.
( Big shocker I know :) )

What did you get  from the sale?? Do tell :)

Nars Hanamichi Kabuki Eyeshadow Palette & Swatches

This Limited Edition palette is stunning! I am so glad I picked this up. You can use this as a highlighter, shadow and blush :)

LOVE THE BRUSH IT COMES WITH

PACKAGING IS GORGEOUS TOO

I love everything about this palette, the brush and the packaging!!

Nars HANAMICHI palette is a must have for this season and especially if you are a collector.
I say If you are only going to pick up one Nars item this Holiday season , you get this :)

It is a little pricey at $65.00, but it is a multi-tasker, which is awesome! ( Maybe I just keep telling myself that to justify this purchase) Either way, I say get it , it you have the means to do so.

My Nars Associate told me that only a few are being sent out to stores at a time and there was a small amount of these made....

I did not buy it from her though, because they did not have them in stock yet, ( I usually buy Nars from Neiman Marcus )

I got mine at my local Nordstroms! ( After they told me several times they were not in stock!!)

I checked Nordstroms.com and it said , that yes indeed the store had them in stock,  I had the beauty manager looking on the dock for this item, after a few sales associates told me they did not have them in  stock and the person who works in receiving said they were not in stock!!
I really hate when a people at the store tell you something and you know they are lying!

Sorry getting off topic here!

Bottom line:  Love it, a must have and happy hunting for it :)

Nars Mie Kabuki Mini Soft Shadow Pencil set

I have to admit I bought these for the cuteness, and not so much the product, oh come on we all know the packaging gets us everytime.  I really do like the colors , but I think this is a product you either love it or hate it.

Net Weight  0.007 oz 2g each.

These need to be worn with a good base for staying power, I like how Too Faced glitter glue helps them last long.

LF to RT- Angel Noir ,  Tall Tale , Skorpios , Ballets Russes , Palladium , Magic Moon

I purchased mine at Nordstrom for $55.00. I haven't seen them pop up on the Nars site yet, but I am sure any day now.

So let me know what you think of this pencils??
