Must Have Pop Sugar Luxury Box Holiday 2012

Pop Sugar must have box is a monthly subscription for $35.00 plux tax that is suppost to have a value of $100. ( which usually always fall short of the $100 they claim)

I was excited when they announced a " Luxury Holiday Box" , for $100 and was said to have a value of $300.00 I believe they said.  They had a limited amount of 1000 of these boxes available, which sold out pretty quickly.  I was thinking like most of the people who bought the box , that this was going to be the best box ever!!

I was so excited to get mine , and today it finally arrived! Very cute packaging right?
My excitement soon turned into irritation , I kept thinking " No this has to get better" , I was very wrong!!

The unmarked brown box had a tarnished looking Jewelmint metal looking purse inside. Something I would never use. Next was a Deborah Lippman nail and lipstick duet set which is probably the only thing that I love in this box.

Tocca scented candle was the third item I opened , the candle fell right out of the glass container , so now my irritation is turning into a bit of anger.
Look at how Tarnished the bracelet is!  Are you kidding me? Looks worse in person
On to the next item a Heather Belle Cuff bracelet that is supposed to be shiny brass , Well NOT mine, mine is tarnished pretty bad.

Cheap looking metal purse , came in unmarked brown box, no name or anything
The next few items are Vosges mini candy bars , Epicuren after bath moisturizer and Compagnie De Provence liquid soap.

This box was a total gimmick, nothing is luxurious to me in here? I mean Jewelmint and luxurious don't really go hand and hand.

I am so unhappy with this box!!! I would not recommend anyone buy one of these " Luxury" boxes if they sell them again!

I really they would offer refunds on this box! Mine would be the first one to back A.S.A.P.

You know $100 is no chump change so yes I am pretty disappointed to say the least!!

Hope this helps some of you out in deciding to buy or skip out on the one they have.

I would really love to hear your feedback on this post whether it be good or bad.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal Review & Swatches

Inked in Pink ,Silver Strike ,Gold Rush , Barely Branded

Barely Beige / Barely Branded

I came across these at my local CVS the other day and decided to pick up a few. They were BOGO half off and I had a $4.00 off coupon from my rewards , so I got these four for under $20.00 w tax included. Not too shabby , huh?

The packaging doesn't say New or Limited Edition on them so I am thinking they are just part of the new line and these ones are called Color Tattoo Metal as opposed to the regular ones  just called Color Tattoo.

I'm pretty sure they have five colors, the one I didn't pick up was a dark shimmery blue.

I am pretty happy with these colors , especially the pink and gold colors.

If you have Barely Beige from the regular line you should pass on Barely Branded from the metal line.
The look exactly the same when worn on the eyes.

In person there is a teeny tiny difference but again when you wear them on your eye, you seriously can't even tell.

I will say the texture seems a little more thicker on the regular ones at least Barely Beige is.

I hope this helps when making your decision to go try them or just pass on them all together.

Same order as above

Here is a comparison between NSFW Lip Tar & Super NSFW lip tar.

I even mixed in Triptych in the bottom pictures to show you how that looks

If you already have the original all you really need is Triptych to mix in and it is pretty much the exact same color.

Had I known prior to purchasing  I would have passed on Super NSFW :(

I hope this helps you If you are deciding to buy the new color.  Now I going to be mixing it with all my other lip tars to see what other possible dupes their are ;)

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Metallurgy Swatches

Super NSFW , Triptych , Yaoi

Super NSFW , Triptych , Yaoi

OCC Cosmetics has come out with new lip tars for the winter but these are not quite the same as the other ones , these ones have a metallic finish to them, :)

I took advantage of their Cyber Monday sale , it was buy two lip tars get Triptych FREE.  Yes Free! Woo Hoo.  They sell for $16.00 each on the site.

Here is how the website describes the colors:

SUPER NSFW - Described as a gold laced red
TRIPTYCH -  Describes as a true jewelry gold
YAOI - Described as a true fuchsia metallic

Triptych is a gorgeous yellow gold and can mixed with any color.
Yaoi doesn't seem Fuchsia to me , it is more bright pink ( think Barbie ) , and Super NSFW is more of a pinkish red.

Bottom line: I am very happy with them.  They all came with their own individual mini brush which is pretty cool.

I usually buy mine and Imats and TMS for $10 bucks , but with getting one free it was a good deal to me and usually the shows don't add a mini brush.

So will any of you be picking this up or do you own them already?

Bare Minerals The Royal Treatment

I love how they all come housed in this case

I like the carrying case just wish it had a small handle

I bought this during Thanksgiving weekend when Bare Minerals was having 5 Days of Beautiful sale.
I had seen this in store and loved it but the downfall retail is $85.00 (value is $166.00)  is a bit too high for me.
Day 2 of the sale was this set for $49.00 , I knew I could not pass it up!!!

What I like:
Everything is mini size ( I mean really who ever goes through a full size one anyway) comes with many different color options, very travel friendly and that no foundation is included.

What I don't like:
Brushes not included, Full retail price is a bit steep.

Collection includes:

  • Prime TimeTM Brightening Eyelid Primer (1.5 mL / 0.05 Fl. Oz.)
  • Magnolia Eyecolor (iridescent pink pearl) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • Vintage Ruby Eyecolor (rose-tinted fawn) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • 1990s Eyecolor (deep smoky violet) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • Sapphire Eyecolor (indigo sapphire blue) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • Glamorista Eyecolor (gilded oak moss) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • Smoked Gray Eyecolor (gray matte) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • Satin Ruffle Eyecolor (nude satin) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • Dark Chocolate Eyecolor (moonlit mocha) (size: petite; 0.28 g / 0.01 Oz.)
  • bareMinerals READY® SPF 15 Touch Up Veil in Translucent (4.5 g / 0.15 oz.)
  • Glee All-Over Face Color (size: small; 0.57 g / 0.02 oz.)
  • Crushed Velvet Blush (cranberry) (size: small; 0.57 g / 0.02 Oz.)
  • Mini Flawless Definition Mascara in Black (size: petite; 10 mL / 0.33 Fl. Oz.)
  • Marvelous MoxieTM Lipgloss in Renegade (rose wine) (2.25 mL / 0.07 Fl. Oz.)
  • 100% Natural Lipgloss in Papaya Smoothie (soft peach shimmer) (2.5 mL / 0.08 Fl. Oz.)
  • Makeup Bag

Overall I am pretty happy with set. You might be on the lookout because I have seen some Bare Mineral sets have dropped prices as we approach Christmas.  Which is a great time to buy :)

Did any of you pick this set up for the holidays??

Tory Burch Black Friday Haul

I love Tory Burch packaging , it is so bright and cheery

Bright shiny orange wrapping paper!!

My picture does not do this bag justice, it looks so much better in person :)

She's ready to sleep in her sleeper bag until I am ready to use her :)

I have always been into nicer handbags and I don't change my handbags out too much, maybe 2 or 3  times a year. So they all get their share of love from me.

Anyway I was in the market for a new bag , I don't do crazy colors usually or the it color of the season because they go out of style too quick and are a waste of money in my opinion.

I knew going with classic black is safe bet and never goes out of style really.

I was browsing in the Tory Burch store a few days before Thanksgiving and an associate told me they were going to have a Black Friday sale , Which if they have any sales it goes by how much you spend , you get 20, 25 or 30 percent off.

I fell in love with this bag , it is a classic style and I love gold/brass hardware not to mention it's pretty versatile.

So I waited for the sale and bought it  and a few other items.  I got a free little gift card set with purchase as well.

So say hello to my new Amanda Hobo bag. I love that I can wear it just with the handle or use the strap to wear cross body or over my shoulder.

Here it is if you are interested.
