CK One Rush Lipstick Review & Swatch

This is the first product I have tried from CK One cosmetics and I am very glad I decided to purchase it.

I am very pleased with the smooth and creamy formula and color payoff.

Although it does look pretty bright in the tube , the color does not come off so bright on your lips and the color is buildable.

I bought the color in Rush , it is in special packaging for BCA and is available at Ulta.

Retail is $16.00.

You can see how lovely the color is!

Have you ever tried CK One cosmetics before??

Revlon Limited Edition Invite Only & Provocative Lip Butter Review and Swatches

Provocative / Invite Only

After being on the hunt for these Revlon limited edition lip butters for over a month and a half, I finally found them at a CVS store.

I have seen the display at a few drug stores and there is only one of each of these colors on the display and are always sold out, which sucks if you are on the hunt for these and live in a large city.

The good news is that these are a bit of a gimmick in my opinion and don't show any color at all but maybe a hint of color if your lips hit the light a certain way.

I do love lip butters but you can totally pass on these ones, even though they are limited edition.

You don't need these :)

These are pretty cool looking in the tube, but that is about it.

Becca Beach Tint Review and Swatches

Watermelon ,  Lychee ,  Papaya

Watermelon , Lychee ,  Papaya

Sephora says:

What it is:
A créme stain that tints lips and cheeks with a natural wash of color.

What it does:
Apply a beautiful flush and a pretty pout with this blendable two-in-one formula for lips and cheeks. The oil-free, streak-free stain is enriched with antioxidant vitamin E to repair and soothe skin and the water-resistant formula stays put with a subtle, fruity scent.

I have been a fan of Becca cosmetics for many years now, even back when Neiman Marcus carried their line.

I have owned beach tints previously , but the top of the tube used to crack and product would spill out, it happened on two that I owned :(

So recently I got these 3 new ones and I remembered why I used to love them so much.

The pigmentation is good and they blend very well.  I do recommend shaking the tube before using.

They work great on your lips and as a cheek color.  A little goes a long way.

So far so good,  no cracking on the tubes :)

These retail for $25.00 each and last a long time.

Watermelon; juicy berry pink
Lychee; bright baby pink
Papaya; bright reddish orange

You can find Becca products on their website and Sephora.

Have you tried Becca products? Do share.

Sephora 500 Point Perk in Marc Jacobs Honey

I just wanted to give you all a heads up about one of Sephora's 500 point perk gift sets at the moment.

Marc Jacobs Honey!!  You get a mini roller ball, and travel size lotion and a cute little round coin purse.

I personally love the scent , but  unfortunately it does not last long on me at all.

Love that this mini set comes with the body lotion so I can layer the products and get more wear out of the fragrance.

I already asked Santa for  full size holiday set that comes with both the 3.4 oz bottle or perfume and a full sized lotion.

It really last much longer when you layer your fragrance with the matching body lotion.

Have any of you tried Marc Jacobs Honey?  Let me know what are some your favorite perfumes :)

Becca, Cosmetic heaven!

My Dermalogica Speed Mapping Analysis sheet

Holding up the goodie I received from

On Saturday October 12, I attended ifabbo San Francisco Social Media conference.

It was absolutely amazing, they had really great guest panels, great brands demonstrating and giving samples of products.

The best part, in my opinion, was all the information I learned from the panels. Blogging is no joke and you really need to know all the rules and guidelines that apply to you.

I met many new bloggers and hung out with some new friends as well as some friends I have known for a while.

Sinead and Tonia ( Co-founders of ifabbo)  and all their sponsors did an AMAZING job from the location, the brands, the guest panels, the food, and the goodie bag!

I can't say enough good things about my experience at ifabbo conference. I am seriously looking forward to next year already. Yes, it was that good.

I learned many new ways to help improve my blog and how important social media really is.

I could go on and on about the information but I know you don't want to read a novel right now.

Believe me that is how much I learned at the conference :)

Thank's to my good friend Sara for sharing some of her pictures with me , because I was just taking all the info in and didn't take too many pictures myself.    I know, shame on me.

Yes some pictures are mine too :)

You should take a look at ifabbo and become a member.

O.P.I. Bogota Blackberry Nail Polish Swatches

Fall is here,  but in California it sure does not seem like it with the warm weather.

O.P.I. Bogota Blackberry is the perfect transition color for fall and even for the holidays.

This stunning dark maroon color is opaque with one coat, of coarse I did two for good measure :)

I bought mine from target for $8.99 , but I am sure you can find it anywhere O.P.I. is sold.

What are some of your favorite fall colors??

BH Cosmetics Iris Blush Duo Review and Swatches

Swatched individually . blended

I am fairly new to trying BH Cosmetics items, and so far so good on what I have used.

I had first purchased Daisy blush duo for my daughter at Beautycon. It is a nice color for her fair skin tone.

Iris on he other hand is right up my alley for my medium olive complexion.

I know it looks scary in the packaging and can be if you use a heavy hand.

As you see from the swatches these blushes can be applied very lightly and can be worn alone or mixed together.

I personally like them and they are great for on the go.

I love how the outside flower on the packaging is the same colors as the blushes :)

These are super affordable at $4.95 each and you can find them here.

Laura Mercier Artist 2 palette VS. Laura Mercier Artist 1 palette Swatches and Review

Laura Mercier has released a new Artist Palette for the second year in a row , I believe it is a Sephora Exclusive.
I loved last year's palette so I was excited to see her releasing a new one this year!

Now let's compare the new palette which is on top, and last years palette which is on bottom in all the picture below.

2013 Artist Palette

2012 Artist Palette

Here are the differences.

I like the formula on both palettes.  They are both buttery soft and have fall out, but not very much.

The 2013 palette has more purple and cool toned colors, where as the original palette has more variety of both cool and warm tones.

I like how the 2013 palette has the colors arranged lightest to darkest shades,  as opposed to last year's, which is all over the place.

However, I actually like how the 2012 palette is arranged better because it has the shimmers all on the top row and mattes on the bottom row.  The 2013 palette has shimmers and mattes interspersed amongst each other.

I don't like that the 2013 palette has 4 of the same colors that were in last years palette, so you are only getting 8 new shades instead of 12.

The new palette does give you more matte shadows;  last year's had 6 shimmer and 6 matte, and this year's has 7 matte and 5 shimmer.

Overall: You don't need both, unless you are a makeup hoarder like me.
