Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Review and Swatches

Pictures taken with my iphone are not the best.
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70

Chanel has just released Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour.

Here is how they describe it:
Enhance, brighten, bronze and beyond with LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Sheer Colour SPF 15. Seven effortless shades of this versatile powder let you create a custom glow for any season, any occasion. The sheer, lightweight colour can be worn alone or over foundation for natural radiance each day.

It comes is seven shades, 10 thru 70.
I swatched them all on the above picture , the third swatch in is the biggest swatch and that one is No 30.
I tried 30, 40 and 50, 30 and 40 looked very orange one me.
I purchased No. 50.

I have heard that these are very sheer , I personally think they are super pigmented and it does not take much product at all to achieve a healthy bronze glow.

It really depends on what brush you use with it.

I would definitely not recommend this as a setting but more of a bronzer.

It retails for $57.50.

The ivory compact is cute as opposed to the usual black.
The brush that is included is pretty descent too and it is fragranced , but not too overpowering.

Bottom line: It is not a must have,  just nice to have ;)

XOXO,

Vicki

Guerlain Madame Rougit Blush Review and swatches

I have not been this excited to get a blush in along time.

Guerlain Madame Rougit blush is definitely a "Must Have" for all you blush lovers out there.

I know many of you might think this looks like Guerlain G Blush from a few years back , but this one is more pigmented and it has more pink tones in it and G blush has more coral tones and is less pigmented.

You can also wear the blushes separately because the pink is on one one side and the coral/orange color is on the other , but I am wearing them in the picture mixed :)

I picked mine up at Neiman Marcus and I know my store only got in a few.

This is Limited Edition and will sell out fast. So run don't walk if you want to get your hands on this.

Retail is $67.00

XOXO,

Vicki

Wet n Wild Pop Art Craze Limited Edition Shadows Review and Swatches

First up;  To Muse and Carouse
my favorite of the two

Hard Being the it girl

The New Wet n Wild Pop Art Craze displays debuted at my local Walgreens this past week.

They have 6 different color trio's to choose from , but only these two caught my eye.

Although the colors do not have the best pigmentation they still are pretty and I am pleased with my picks. ( use a primer )
They cost $2.99 each.

Bottom Line: I don't think you need to run out and buy these.

XOXO,
Vicki

Lise Watier Palette India Review and Swatches

Left side of palette

Right side of palette

Lise Watier products are among my favorite purchases from Phamexpo that I attended last month.

Lisa Watier has amazing products and I must say I am really loving this palette; actually the whole collection is amazing!!  The shadows are a powder formulation but feel super creamy and are easy to blend.

All the colors are gorgeous and best part is I got 40% discount on this palette and my other Lise Watier products as well from the Naimies booth.

The packaging is a beautiful gold color and the compact itself is pretty sturdy.

This is from her 2013 summer collection. I have a few more items on the chopping block coming up as soon.

You can buy Lisa Watier products here if you are interested.

So stay tuned.

XOXO,

Vicki

I have recently signed up for a new subscription service called "Fan Fit Fun" by Giuliana Rancic, you get a box every three months for $49.99.

This one is my first box and I am pretty happy with it except for the sunglasses!

Supposed retail is $135.00 at Ivory + Mason. REALLY??  This has to be a bad joke!
These are made so cheap and are super small, like a child size small.

I wouldn't even spend $5.00 on them , I am serious the ones I received are that bad :(

I have read on a few forums that several people are also not happy with the sunglasses they received.

I will keep it for now and see what the next box will include.

If you are interested in a box, I have included a $10.00 off  code above that is good for a one time use for new subscribers.

Click here to use my coupon code.

I believe this box particular box is available still but sunglasses, nail polish and kind bars vary from each box :)

Chanel CC Cream Review and Swatches

With all the hype of BB and CC creams on the market now, I swear I have tried so many and have been disappointed because they just end up being a tinted moisturizer with a different name.

I have tried a few Asian BB creams and they are all way too light for my skin and look grey.  Not a flattering look for anyone.

When I came across Chanel CC cream at Nordstrom I had to try it!

This is thicker than most creams I have tried and although it is a bit too light for me, I still like it.
I am a NC42 in Mac foundation for reference, even though I don't wear their foundations anymore.

This is definitely more yellow than most creams, which is good for those of you who can't use other BB or CC creams due to the grey cast making you look ashy.

When I blend this into my skin, at first it looks like death, but within 10 minutes it does warm up and blends into my skin a little more, however it is still too light for me, so I just apply a darker powder or bronzer over it, which makes it look better.

For me this is not a quick application and go type of CC cream, it is for when I have more time too get ready.

Bottom line: I do like it even though it is a little more work for me due to the lightness in color. I suggest you take a look or even get a sample next time you are near a Chanel counter.

It Retails for $55.00.

Vicki

Nars Baiser de Feu (Bold lip) Lip Bag set / Nordstrom Anniversary Exclusive 2013

Liner , Lipstick, Gloss ( not in same order as picture above or below)

This set is definitely my favorite of the two Nars lip sets.

I recommend both sets but if you only can buy one, buy the one you like best.

Look at all you get for $49.00:

- Full-size Damage Lipstick.
- Mini Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Como.
- Mini Velvet Lip Pencil in Damned.
- Limited edition covetable carry-all NARS tote bag.

I look forward to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale every July.

They have amazing sales on all new fall merchandise.

XOXO,

Vicki

Nars Some Like it Hot Nude Lip Kit / Nordstrom Anniversary Exclusive

Cute tote bag included

Set includes:
- Full-size Pago Pago Lipstick.
- Mini Gold Digger Larger Than Life Lip Gloss.
- Mini Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bettina.
- Limited edition covetable carry-all NARS tote bag.

Nude lips are a little hard for me to pull off without making me look deathly ill.

This set leans towards pinky nude colors which is more wearable for most skin tones.

The set is $49.00, is a limited edition, and is available during Nordstrom's anniversary sale (ending August 2nd) or while supplies last.

They also have a berry set which will be reviewed next.

XOXO,

Vicki

Sonia Kashuk Jewel of an Eye couture shadow palette / Fall 2013 Swatches and Review

First Row

Second Row

Third Row

Fourth Row

I found this Sonia Kashuk palette at Target the other day.

All the jewel toned colors in this palette looked so pretty I couldn't resist.

The $14.99 price (cut) at my store helped my decision too :)

I like most of the colors and like the texture and pigmentation on most of them.

Beware! I am sad to report there are a few dud colors, like the gorgeous looking blue on the very right  of the second row,  and on the fourth row,  the two brown colors look exactly the same on the lid.

There is no glitter in these shadows but they all have a sheen to them.

For the price it is a good drug store palette.

If you have the Sonia Kashuk neutral palette this would work well with it.

Have you seen this yet in your store?

XOXO,

Vicki
