Becca Mineral Blush Review and Swatches

Top Row: Songbird, Sweetpea , Flowerchild
Bottom Row: Wild Honey and Gypsy

Songbird,  Sweetpea,  Flowerchild,  Wild Honey,   Gypsy

Sephora Says:

A delicate powder blush infused with micro-fine minerals that deliver a soft glow.
Impart a soft halo of color onto the apples of your cheeks with this delicate powder that subtly reflects the light and casts a luminous glow. Formulated with a natural mineral complex and infused with antioxidant vitamins A, E, and C, this blush nourishes and conditions skin for a smooth, illuminated complexion.

I have been a little obsessed with Becca Mineral Blushes lately, as you can see.
They're FABULOUS in case you didn't already know.

Becca has been around for several years and just recently came to Sephora a year or two ago and just to Ulta in the last couple of months.

They come is 6  different shades and I own 5 of them.
They used to have several more colors in the range but I believe they discontinued them, which is a bummer.

These feel like buttah and blend seamlessly into your skin.
They have great pigmentation and you don't need a ton of product to achieve a gorgeous color on your cheeks.

Flowerchild is my absolute favorite and think it's the most universal flattering shade for all skin tones.

Retail is $32.00 and worth every penny.

I highly recommend you check these babies out.

NYC Sun 'n Bronze Bronzing Powder in Coral Samba Review and Swatches

Coral Samba 02

individual colors and mixed
Here is what NYC Cosmetics says:
A smooth, lightweight bronzing powder that provides the ultimate sun-kissed glow. The NYC New York Color Sun n’ Bronze Bronzing Powder offers a unique combination of bronzing and highlighting shades that blend together to create a custom glow just for you. The ultra-fine and lightweight texture brushes on flawlessly to cheeks and contours for a natural look. The shades: Coral Samba and Rosa Rio

have tried only one other powder from NYC Cosmetics prior to picking up this one that I didn't really like.
Check out my review here .

Coral Samba gives the skin such a nice glow and the pigmentation is pretty good.
Retail is $4.99,  but I had a $1.00 off coupon, which made this an even better value.

I would not use this as a bronzer because it does have shimmer but wearing it as wash of color on the cheeks looks great.

Although this collection is limited edition , I see if in a few drugstores.
So if you are interested, there is a good chance you can still find this product.

Tarte Rainforest After Dark Review and Swatches

Champagne , Park Ave Princess , Unleashed
The pictures are taken in direct sunlight
Bare to Explore, Make a Mauve, Plum away with me, Up to no gold, Tan-gled Up in You, Don’t Turn A-Brown describes these as:

" Inspired by the rain forest’s deep orchid hues at dusk, Tarte’s limited-edition eye and cheek palette has everything you need to create sultry and sophisticated day to night looks. Infused with colored clay, which naturally color-corrects as it supports oil control, this makeup provides longer wear and truer color payoff. This modern ingredient from the mountainous regions of Brazil brightens, evens, and soothes skin, while the velvety formula glides on and delivers rich color—without settling into fine lines and wrinkles."

I predict the Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette will make many of you beauty lovers very happy with the gorgeous colors.

This is probably one of my favorite palettes that Tarte has come out with in the past few years.

Inside this glorious palette is 6 eyeshadows, 1 bronzer, 1 highlighter and 1 blush.
The hues include shades of pink, mauve, and browns and the textures are a mix of mattes, shimmers and satins.

Very travel friendly and you can easily transition a day time look into a night time look with this palette.

You can find this palette at Ulta, Sephora and

BeautyCon 2014 / My thoughts and Experience

BeautyCon merchandise Booth

This was basically why I went to BeautyCon to see this panel

Me and my girl Lizzy from whatwouldlizzydo

Shea Moisture displaying their products and makeup line

Beauty Con L.A. was held this past Saturday August 16th 2014.

This was my second year in attendance and BeautyCon's second year in L.A.

I had high expectations for this year , and was sadly a bit disappointed.

There were too many tweens in attendance this year , like really young girls. They would see some big You Tuber and be following in swarms and knocking into people.  I seen this happens several times.

It was really annoying.

They had security who were very rude to some adults in attendance, I seen this first hand. (Not chaperones either)  I saw no security trying to get these swarms of young girls under control.  I only saw this in two instances.

I have several friends who had got talent passes but they basically stayed in the talent lounge most of the time. Which was a bummer because I missed many of them but on the same note I can't blame them either. Since it was swarmed with so many youngsters.

I keep hearing from people who attended the New York BeautyCon that it was more layed back and they had more talent in the room versus hiding out the in NYX lounge.

They had several more vendors this year , some selling product and some giving away product.

I hope BeautyCon will make more improvements next year and maybe have a 18 and older area and not so much a talent a lounge.

Did any of you attend?? I would love to know your thoughts?

Lipstick Queen Rose & Shine Lip and Cheek Pot Review and Swatches

I picked this up Lipstick Queen's Rose & Shine a few weeks back from QVC,  during their annual Super Saturday event.

It was only $11.00 (which is half price) so what a perfect time to try a new product.

The formula is very creamy so you only need a little bit to achieve a good amount of color  on the lips and cheeks.

This would be a great product for those of you who want a red or berry colored lip but don't want that BAM if your face bold lip.

The pot has a lot of product so this will last you a long time.

Bottomline:  Very happy to add this to my beauty arsenal.

Have you tried any Lipstick Queen products before??

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow VS Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting & Candlelight Powder

Charlotte Tilbury & Kevyn Aucoin

L to R: K.A. Sculpting in medium and C.T. Bronzer and highlight K.A. candlelight

When I first found out that Charlotte Tilbury was going to have a beauty exclusive for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale , I knew I had to get it!

It came in a big beautiful gorgeous burgundy box and packed in matching tissue tissue paper…

The packaging is exquisite, encased in a rose gold palette with a good sized mirror.

Now lets get onto the product itself.

The bronzer is finely milled with very little shimmer and the highlighter is a pearlescent color.

I do really like the Charlotte Tilbury duo but I personally still prefer the Kevyn Aucoin colors.

The Kevyn Aucoin one is two different pieces I just put them together in the candlelight powder compact, and it doesn't fit exact I just glued the medium sculpt pan in there.

I look forward to trying more Charlotte Tilbury products in the near future.

I know Nordstrom will be carrying her line within the next month or so.

Will you be picking up anything from Charlotte Tilbury?

NYC City Samba Collection Liquid Lipshine in Passion Fruit and Guava

Passion fruit and Guava

Passion Fruit 002

Guava 003

NYC Cosmetics has come out with the gorgeous *New* Samba Collection.

I picked up three items from this collection and here are two that I am sharing with you today.

The liquid lip shines in Passion Fruit a gorgeous orange-coral color and Guava a bright fuchsia color.

I thought Passion Fruit would be super bright on my lips , but unfortunately it shows up very subtle with hints or orange flecks. I still like it though.

Guava on the other hand is super pigmented on shows up nicely on me.

Can you guess this one is my favorite of the two.

The formulation isn't too sticky which is good and last a few hours on my lips.

Retail is $1.99

The collection has 4 lip colors to choose from.

I highly recommend you try these out.

Wet 'n Wild has teamed up with Walgreens to donate $ .25 cents of each Think Pink lipstick sold to the American Cancer Society.

I think it's great and I love supporting companies that donate to good causes!

The lipstick is a gorgeous light pink and is super affordable.

Stop by your local Walgreen's today to buy your Think Pink lipstick.

This is NOT a sponsored post, I just like sharing good news that are for good causes!

e.l.f. Snow White The Fairest of them All Lip Collection Review and Swatches

Crimson Crush lip stain, Ruby Kiss lipgloss, Berry lip tint

E.L.F. has come out with  a Snow White collection recently and out of all the products, this is the only item that I liked.

It was only $4.99!!  Amazing!!

I highly recommend this set , all three lip products are great!

The lip stain is long lasting, the lipgloss has a herbal like taste to it which is not the greatest but the color is gorgeous and the lip tint is super pigmented.

I got a few items from the Ariel collection last month; the shadow book and bronzer.

I can't wait for a more Disney Princess collections to come out.

Have you seen this yet??
