Wet n Wild Coloricon Bronzer Blush in Hold Me Close Review & Swatches

L to R: highlighter , Blush,  Mixed

Reviews coming soon on the next two shades so stay tuned.

Wet n Wild has come out with limited edition bronzer blush powders recently. They come in three shades.

I finally was able to track them down at CVS over a week ago when they were on a bogo sale.

Today we will focus on Hold Me Close , which is the lightest shade of the three shades.

This one is pretty light and works as a highlighter on me.

I don't like the way they swatch by using fingers but swatching using a brush really makes a world of difference for application.

These are a bit hard if that makes sense , but are still workable. Some work better than the other shades.

Now these are not the best Wet n Wild products I have ever tried but certainly are not the worst.

Retail is $4.19

Have you came across these yet??

XOXO,

Vicki

LANEIGE BB Cushion in Medium Review and Swatches

The refill comes in a sealed foil packet

Here is what Target says:

The revolutionary 5-in-1 BB in a convenient compact. Go beyond your regular BB cream. Broad-spectrum SPF 50 blocks harmful UVA/UVB rays, while skin perfecting Optimal Mineral Water cools and hydrates upon application. Prevent shine and brighten skin by visibly reducing dark spots. Patented air cushion distributes just the right amount of BB cream. Apply whenever and wherever you want, with no buildup or bother. All day flawless skin is just 1 step away with BB Cushion.

Target has recently revamped their cosmetics department and started carrying a few higher end brands.

Laneige is one of the higher end brands, and 29 by Lydia Mondavi, which I did a review on a few weeks ago, is another.

My local Target carries these products in store so it is easy to check them out in person.

Laneige BB cushion comes in 3 colors ( light, Medium, Dark), which is kind of a bummer because the difference between medium and dark is several shades darker.

I chose the medium which matches me better than the dark but is still too light for me. Nothing a little bronzer can't fix.

I think the concept is pretty cool and the product itself is good, I only wish they had another color between medium and dark!!

The consistency is very light and has great pigmentation.

It comes with a puff so you just press it on your face lightly and the fact that it has spf 50 ++ is a bonus.

Retail is $34.00 which is pretty cheap compared to several high end brands, and it also comes with an extra refill compact so it will last you a good amount of time.

I recommend you check these out in person.

I like that they are starting to carry testers for these higher priced items as well.

Have you tried this brand before or seen it at your local Target??

XOXO,

Vicki

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster Review

I have heard about Dermalogica for years, but only recently tried a few products and fell in love with the line.

I have oily skin but tend to get a few dry areas occasionally, depending on the season.

I have used this for a few months now and must say I love it!!

It has really made a difference in the hydration in my skin and no breakouts at all.

I use it at night after I have cleansed and moisturized my face.

You can also add a few drops in with your moisturizer too.

Retail is $56.00

You can buy it here and use code BOOST for 15% off!! Which is awesome!!

Super-saturated hydration for the driest skin conditions, this intensive hydrating fluid revitalizes parched skin. Hydrates, smoothes and minimizes fine lines with a concentrated blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol, Glycolipids and Algae Extract to restore moisture balance.
  • Hyaluronic Acid holds up to 1000 times its weight in water for hydration and improved elasticity.
  • Panthenol aids in tissue repair while hydrating the skin.
  • Algae Extract helps restore moisture balance.

I have since bought one for my teen daughter and it works great for her, as she has dry skin and is prone to adolescent breakouts.

I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to add a little hydration to  your skin regimen.

xoxo

Vicki

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in Miami Fever, Rio Rush and India Intrigue Review and Swatches

Miami Fever, Rio Rush and India Intrigue

Revlon has recently come out with *New* Color Stay Moisture Stains.

I picked mine up on a recent trip to Target.

Retail is $7.49 at my Target but I also seen them at Ulta for $9.99.

I really like the colors but that is about the good thing I can say about them unfortunately.

All three colors applied patchy , I had to go over my lips like 3 times to get a some what evened out look.

India Intrigue was the most pigmented on my lips and the least glossy of the three colors.

I wish the colors were true to the color on the packaging , the actual product is much darker.

If you have the time and patience to work with them you might like these.

I recommend you try one or two to get a feel for them and definitely get them on sale.

I like several Revlon products but these are a total miss in my book.

XOXO,

Vicki

NYC Spring Petals Mosaic Color Wheel Review and Swatch

direct sun

I don't have many NYC makeup products, so when I saw this at CVS a few weeks back, I thought I would give it a try.  The $1.00 off coupon on the display may have persuaded my decision too.

Spring Petals is a limited edition mosaic powder.

The shimmery peach color reminds of Nars Orgasm.

I am sorry to say I am not impressed with it.  It is a bit too powdery for my taste and the pigmentation is very minimal.

It also looks very cakey if you try to add more.

Have you tried this?? I would love to hear your thoughts?

XOXO,

Vicki

Eu Natural Clarity Vitamin C Face Serum Review

Are you looking for a natural and healthy way to replenish your skin and reduce the effects of aging?  Clarity Vitamin C Serum is an organic formula which contains a potent antioxidant blend of organic vitamin C, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and herbal extracts.  Combined, these ingredients help to stimulate the production of collagen for a fresh, youthful, radiant appearance.  Applying Clarity Vitamin C Serum regularly can significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age lines, and dark spots.

Here is what Eu Natural says;

  • Vitamin C:  We typically associate vitamin C with a healthy immune system, but it is also essential to youthful, healthy skin.  When you are young, your skin has plenty of vitamin C in it, but as you get older, you need to replenish the vitamin C levels yourself to keep them optimal.  Vitamin C stimulates collagen production and improves the elasticity of your skin.  As an antioxidant, vitamin C can also help to reverse sun damage.  The older you get, the more critical it is that you provide your skin with extra vitamin C.
  • Vitamin E:  There is a reason that vitamin E is listed as a prime ingredient in many skin care products like soaps and lotions.  It is also an essential ingredient in Clarity.  Like vitamin C, vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant which can repair damage to your skin by neutralizing the effects of free radicals.  Your body is unable to manufacture this vitamin from scratch, so it is important to get it from your diet and your skin care products.
  • Hyaluronic Acid:  This compound is a lubricant which can promote healing of damaged skin tissue and also act as a moisturizer.  This compound can be incredibly powerful, and works best if you apply it to damp skin.  You can get the best results from Clarity by applying it after you wash your face or take a shower, especially if you have naturally dry skin.
  • Aloe Leaf:  Aloe has been used for thousands of years, and many studies have demonstrated its efficacy in treating minor skin wounds.  It is a powerful healer of tissue, like hyaluronic acid, and also acts as a moisturizer.  On top of that, it can treat acne and help you recover from sunburn.
I have been using this for 8 days now and I cannot really see any fading on my dark spots.
My face does however feel more moisturized and soft.

I will definitely continue to use this product and update you on the final results when I am done with the bottle.
Eu Natural has generously given my Subscribers a discount code: EUN15OFF  , when you order it on Amazon.

XOXO,

Vicki

Wet 'n Wild Fergie Limited Edition Lipsticks for Spring/Summer 2014

34385,  34386,  34387,  34377

Cray Cray, Turnt Up, Swerve , Fomo

Cray Cray, Turnt Up, Swerve , Fomo

I recently picked up all four new limited edition Wet 'n Wild Fergie center stage lipsticks.

I got mine at Walgreens for $2.85, on sale, which is an awesome deal.

Cray Cray- is a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink

Turnt Up- bright deep orange

Swerve- coral pink

Fomo- very pale nude

At each of the Walgreens I have seen these, they have all been on an end cap display.

Unfortunately there are only 2 of the limited edition colors on the display.

My Favorites are Cray Cray and Swerve!

I will be having my Blogiversary in a week or so, and guess which two colors will be posted as a giveaway :)

Stay tuned.

XOXO,

Vicki

Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.7 The Siren Review and Swatches

no primer

Marc Jacobs Beauty has come out with a limited edition palette just in time for spring and summer.

These colors are very fun and bright, yet wearable.

The white packing is a nice addition as well.

I was hoping to pass on this limited edition palette, until I swatched it in Sephora.

That was my demise.

I know this palette will not be for everyone but it will suit many and I am sure it will sell out.

The pigmentation is really good on all colors, not a bad one in the bunch.

Not all Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palettes are winners but this one definitely is.

If you are interested you should check it out in person if you can.

 XOXO,

Vicki

COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lipgloss Review and Swatches

Store display
Candylicious, Plumlicious, Fruitylicious, Pinkalicious, Whipped Berry

Candylicious, Plumlicious, Fruitylicious, Pinkalicious, Whipped Berry

COVERGIRL has come out with new lip glosses called Colorlicious with 13 new shades!!

They are semi sheer and have a great color selection to choose from.

I picked up five colors and all but 1 have shimmer in them.  The shimmer barely shows up on the lips which is good.   Whipped Berry has no shimmer in it and was the sheerest of the ones I bought.

Candylicious is almost duo chrome on the lips.

The formula is feels light and smooth on the lips and are not sticky,  so wear a lip liner to make the color last longer.

Retail is $8.99 but you can get them for $6.99 right now at Walgreens, and Rite Aid has them on a bogo sale right now.

Do you plan to get any of these?

XOXO,

Vicki

It Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Flush Blush in Radiant in Rose and Pretty in Peony Review and Swatches

It is no secret that I am a big fan of It Cosmetics, so in early April when they had their friends and family 25% off sale I decided to take advantage of few items.

I picked up two of their Vitality Cheek Flush Stain blushes

Radiant in Rose: a berry-pink color and Pretty in Peony: a coral -peachy pink color.

Both are super pigmented and blend extremely well.

Here what It Cosmetics says:

Vitality Cheek Flush is a cheek stain infused into a powder! Developed with plastic surgeons, this hydrating, brightening, and antiaging blush gives the perfect naturally pretty flush of color to the cheeks and lasts. This truly innovative formula contains It Cosmetics' Hydra-Luxe technology, including ingredients such as plum oil, cherry oil, hyaluronic acid, pomegranate, seaweed extract, grape seed, aloe, and jojoba that all work together to treat, hydrate, condition, and nourish your skin. Plus, Vitality Cheek Flush is packed with antioxidants, including vitamins A, C, and E, acai, green tea, and white tea. Talc, paraben, sulfate, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, and phthalate free. Hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.

I am very happy with these. Although they retail for $24.00 they are well worth the investment.

At some point I will definitely be going back to pick up the other two shades.

Have you tried them before??

XOXO,

Vicki

29 First Crush lip scrub VS. e.l.f. lip scrub Review and Swatches

very moisturizing and light exfoliation

e.l.f  is extremely gritty ( uncomfortable)  and not moisturizing

Target Website states:
First Crush Lip Scrub, like a mini facial for your lips. This delicate lip exfoliating treatment enriched with grape seed extract, coconut oil, apricot seed powder and shea butter will leave your lips feeling smooth and prepped for intense hydration. This luxurious grape seed anti-oxidant formula will keep your lips looking young and vibrant.

I like searching Target's web sight once a week or so to see new products they carry or have in stock.

A few weeks back I found the "29 by Lydia Mondavi" brand  which I had never heard of before.

The first crush lip scrub sounded promising with the description they gave.  So for $10.00, I decided to try it.

Very happy to say this is a great product and works really well.

I have compared it to the e.l.f. lip scrub and hands down this is 100 X better.  e.l.f. is $3.00, but truth be told $7.00 price difference is well worth it.

I know many of you love the e.l.f. once but for me personally it is way too harsh on my lips and doesn't moisturize at all.

I have tried it two different times (different tubes) to see if maybe the first one was a dud, but I had the same result with both. I ended up throwing them both away.

If you are in the market for a good, affordable lip scrub this may just be what you are looking for.

Have you ever heard of this brand?

XOXO,

Vicki
