Becca Backlight Priming Filter Face Primer Review and Swatches/ Comparisons

Backlight Primer- Pearl, Moonstone, Opal , Rose Gold Shimmering Skin Perfectors

I have been using the Becca Backlight priming filter for over a week now.

Yes it has a fancy name but it's just a face primer.

Here is what Sephora says:

Backlight Priming Filter creates a canvas for your makeup, extending its wear from day to night. Infused with three unique Filtering Luminescent Pearls, each one adds a different drop of diffused light. Blended together, they impart a one-of-a-kind, lightweight, whipped fluid that creates a smooth canvas and acts as an instant filter, while the vitamin E-enriched formula minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Backlighting acts as an instant filter, creating a diffused, soft-focused radiance that allows your complexion to catch light for a glowing look. Infused with Becca’s proprietary blend of crushed pearls, this primer achieves a lit-from-within, healthy-looking effect.

This is very different from Becca's Shimmering skin perfectors in case you're wondering.

This is a primer and it does have a little shimmer but once you put on foundation you can't really see the shimmer particles.

Where as the skin perfectors have a lot more shimmer and highlight properties.

Retail is $38.00 and you find this at Sephora and Ulta.

I think it's nice but not a must have.

Have you came across this in store yet?

Wet n Wild Here's to the Wild Ones! Review and Swatches / Fall 2015

Celeb Sighting, On The Ave, Coffee Buzz, Vintage Vibe, Photobomb, Nightcap

Celeb Sighting

On The Ave

Coffee Buzz

Vintage Vibe

Wet 'n Wild has a new lip and nail polish collection called "Here's to the Wild Ones!" for Fall 2015.

I bought all six colors , I mean they are only $1.99 after all :) plus these are limited edition.

They are all very pigmented.

Coffee Buzz and Nightcap are the two I could've safely passed on , but of coarse the makeup collector in me needed them all.

The display only has 3 of each color so if you are in search of them you should check your local drugstore soon.

I got mine at Walgreen's.

What colors are your favorites??

Lancome AUDA[CITY] in Paris Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

I was browsing the makeup department at Macy's this past Friday and saw that Lancome was having a pretty good Gift with Purchase.

I usually skip on the gifts but I really liked this one and I saw they had the NEW AUDA[CITY] in Paris Palette in stock.

I am not big on Lancome in general but since Lisa Eldridge is their official global creative director I thought I would give this a chance.

Usually everything she touches turns to gold after all :)

I like the design of the palette and the art work is super sophisticated looking.

I think the palette overall is nice, it is a little hit and miss but it definitely is more hit for me, so I am keeping it.

The formula seems a little dry but it blends very easy which I like and the darker colors are not intensely pigmented but again that is fine by me, they can easily be layered for more pigmentation.

I feel the shimmer shades have a softer formulation and have some fall out but very minimal.

I am happy with this purchase especially since the Gift with Purchase makes it seem like a much better deal.

Will you be picking this palette up??

I thought it would be easier to show you these in sections as they are laid out the palette.

Dolly's Wild Side Buxom Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Silk Sheets, Champagne Buzz, Lingerie Lover, Mink Magnet, Spoiled Sexy,Wild Night

A few weeks ago I attended Sephora's VIB #BeautyBeforeBrunch event.

I didn't go crazy but I did pick up a few things I have been wanting for awhile.

First up by Buxom "Dolly's Wild Side" eyeshadow palette.

I really love the colors in this palette and the formula is really impressive.

Especially the shimmery ones. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Retail is $40.00 for 6 full size shadows which is a great price.

The packing is super cute too.

You can also make your own palette for $40.00 or pay $12.00 for each individual shadow.

The palette that is included in the make your own palette isn't as cute as this one, but it is a great idea to make your own.

So have you checked these out yet?

It Cosmetic's has a new palette on the market called "The Romantics" Vol. 2 of the Naturally Pretty eyeshadow line.
