Ulta Matte Lip Cream Review and Swatches and GWP

Striking, Lively, Vivid

Gift w purchase

Ulta has recently launched new products for Spring 2015 and these matte lip creams are part of the new products.

I don't usually buy Ulta brand products because I have purchased in the past and ended up returning the items due to poor quality.

With the liquid lip craze going on I thought I would give these a shot.

Surprisingly I like the lip creams but I have a few gripes as well.

Pros; creamy, good color selection, reasonably priced (if on sale)

Cons; long drying time (these take along time to dry completely),  not every color has the same consistency

Retail is $9.00

I missed the buy 2 get 2 free they had last week so I purchased mine at full price (but I did use a coupon)

Although they are having a pretty good Gift w Purchase right now on all Ulta brand products.

You spend $19.50 and you get a cute bag  (Fuchsia or Lavender) full of Ulta products.

If you decide to try them I recommend you wait for a sale , unless you want the cute bag and some extra Ulta brand products to try :)

So what do you think? Have you tried these yet?

XOXO,

Vicki

Maybelline The Brights Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Top Row

Bottom Row

Maybelline The Brights palette was has been on my radar for awhile now, but I never seemed to find it, until recently.

The colors look so pretty and well yes hence the name "Bright".

I am very sad to report the pigmentation is lacking.

I know sometimes shadows don't swatch good on your hand or arm but once applied on your eyes with proper brushes they work.

Not this palette.  I personally think they swatch better using your finger than applying them with a actual shadow brush.

Retail is $9.99.

I am returning this on my next trip back to Target.

I say this is a pass and would definitely would not recommend.

XOXO,

Vicki

Lime Crime Velventine in Pansy Review and Swatches

This is how the wand looked when I first opened it.

I have a love a hate relationship with Lime Crime products.

I think their quality control sucks to be quite frank.

I have a handful of their Velvetines and some of the colors are just so watery and the color is all over the wand and dry and crusty in the cap , I mean that is seriously disgusting!!

That is how they came brand new to me. I was like WTH??

I know that I am not the only one who has this happen to them with these products.

This color is pretty but you can't build it too much or it starts looking patchy as you can see in the bottom picture.

If you haven't checked out my previous Lime Crime Velventine Cashmere review click here.

What are you thoughts??

Have you had any issues with the quality? I would really love to know.

XOXO,

Vicki

Bite Beauty Lip Lab Limited Edition / Feb 2015

Bite Beauty has come out with this genius idea to have a new lip color each month for the year of 2015.
This is limited edition and small quantities are made

BITE Beauty products are created with natural and food-grade ingredients for beauty that’s better for you. These lip products do not contain petrochemicals and are certified gluten-free.

Straight from the Lip Lab, located in the heart of SOHO, in New York City, BITE sees hundreds of clients monthly and, without fail, can pinpoint emerging color trends.

Each month, BITE will create a Lip Lab-inspired, limited-edition run of a stand out shade that is new, fresh, and fashion-forward, with a scent to match.

Each cream lipstick is also packaged in a limited-edition red box, with a hand-stamped label that features the shade number and the date it was hand-crafted.

Retail is $36.00 each.  You need to be quick because they do sell out fast!!

Although I really do love the idea I think it is a bit expensive, but it is not going to stop me from collecting them all :o

I will show you January's color in a future post just so you can see what it looked like.

That one sold out super fast, so Bite Beauty did make more of February's color so it would not sell out within minutes.

Which was cool because they are listening to their customers feedback.

Did you pick up these colors??

XOXO,

Vicki

NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette Review and Swatches

Nyx has come out with a new highlight & contour palette for spring 2015.

I was very eager to try this out when I first got it!

My first thought;  What a brilliant idea from NYX to make a drugstore alternative to the name brands that range from $35 and up.

After testing this out a few times I must say this is definitely something I would not recommend.

The shadows are very powdery and the colors seem more like an eyeshadow with bad texture.

Worst of all the palette retails for $25.00 Bucks!!

That is pretty high for drugstore products and not even a good product.

If you are wanting to get this , I would say just spend the extra 10 or 15 dollars and get the It Cosmetics contour and highlight palette or the Kat Von D one. ( love these)

I prefer these two over the Anastasia Beverly Hills palette.

I think NYX should go back a redo the the formulation because the inserts are refillable which is nice , only if the formulation was better.

What do you think??

XOXO,

Vicki

Lorac Unzipped Cheek and Lip Set / Ulta Exclusive Review and Swatches

Underrated , Unashamed, Unapologetic, Unimaginable

Girl Next Door

Girl Next Door lipstick, Underrated , Unashamed, Unapologetic, Unimaginable

Lorac Spring 2015 collection just hit stores these past few weeks.

I was most excited about this set and the Alter Ego lipstick set click here in case you missed my review.

I have always been such a big fan of Lorac Cosmetics, yes you all know this already :)

All four blushes performed well , application is smooth and all are nicely pigmented.

You also have a variety of shimmer and matte which is great.

Retail  is $30.00 (what a steal).

This is sold exclusively at Ulta stores and online.

The lipstick alone is $16.00 if purchased separately.

I highly recommend you check this out next time you are at Ulta.

XOXO,

Vicki

Imats Haul 2015 and Experience

Here is the damage! Not too bad ;)

Here are my prizes….

These brushes are so amazing! Review coming soon

I have not been to Imats L.A in about 2 years or so (since they changed the date to January);  whenever that was.

I stopped going because it just became a You Tube fest for the most part. Too many young kids started going and it got way too packed; you could barely walk.

It was quite annoying to be honest.

This year they changed some rules and jacked up ticket prices which sucked.

Although I was happy with the new age restriction rule, I was not happy with the ticket prices being raised.

I decided months ago that I was not going due to previous years experience.  As it got closer to the date, I changed my mind and wanted to go but didn't want to pay the extra money.

Long story short, I was fortunate and won Royal & Langnickel's Instagram contest.  The prize was Imats tickets for two and a goodie bag (very thankful).

I must say this year was so much better than the years before.

I love the new age limit of 17 and older.
Hell it should be 18 and older :)

I did see some youngsters that clearly were not 17 but not many.

I went Saturday and it was not crazy busy,  you could actually walk around and not bump into people every 10 seconds.

I didn't go crazy on the spending either, I went with specific items in mind and basically stuck to it for the most part.

I will be doing separate reviews for all the goodies I got.

My largest purchase was from Anastasia Beverly Hills so check out the review here if you haven't already.

I would love to hear your Imats experience if you have ever been before?

XOXO,

Vicki
