Kat Von D Shade Light Eye Contour Palette Swatches!! The Makeup Show L.A. Debut

Here it is!! Kat Von D's newest eyeshadow palette made it's debut at The Makeup Show L.A., this past weekend.

They only had 30 palettes to sell, 15 Saturday and 15 Sunday.

Look how gorgeous the palette is!

Had to the pleasure of meeting the Lovely Miss Kat Von D herself, she made a sneak guest appearance at the blogger preview after party.

She was very sweet and humble.

If you left early, you missed out.

The palette is set to going on sale April 1st at Sephora.

Vicki

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Review and Swatches

Top Row

Bottom Row

I totally thought I was going to pass on this one after my last review on The Brights palette , since I wasn't pleased with it,  I figured skip on anymore new Maybelline eyeshadows for awhile.

Let's be real all pretty eyeshadow colors draw us in and it is pink!!

Pink is my favorite color, in case you didn't know already.

I really hoped I would like this palette more than the Brights palette and I do but still feel that this is really lacking in the pigmentation department.

The formula is a bit hard so you will need to work a little to blend.

I am pretty much done with purchasing Maybelline eyeshadows for awhile. I hope they will reformulate them.

I say skip, you can find dupes for the colors and most likely you probably own colors that are very similar.

I got mine for $9.99 at Walmart.

What do you think?

XOXO,

Vicki

Roden + Fields Redefine and Acute Cure Review

I have been using this for the past several weeks now and here are my thoughts and some before and after pictures , which I really don't like to do but anything to help my readers find a great product that works :)

I use this twice a a day , it is a very mild exfoliate and really makes my skin feel clean and smooth.

I liked this toner and it is alcohol free which is awesome, because alcohol will just dry out your skin.

I actually really love both these creams. The triple defense is nice and does't make your face look ghostly white like many day creams with SPF do.
The restorative night cream is heavenly and not to heavy and made my skin feel so hydrated and smooth.

Acute  Care:

These are the magic packets some would say :) You should use these every three days.

They feel a little tingly but for me very mild, it actually made me itchy more than tingly.

You can see the little spheres on here

Let's face it as we start aging and noticing wrinkles and lines creeping in on our skin , we kind of panic.

What skincare should I use? Are these noticeable? What will work for for? Should I get botox?

I am sure these are question we all ask ourselves at some point.  Well the results will vary as we make our own decisions on what road to take, but we all have one main goal = keep the wrinkles and fine lines less visible.

After first treatment

Still visible mich not like before.

After several weeks of use, I can still see that number 11 line still, but it definitely is becoming less prominent.

Overall I can see a difference in my skin and the texture.  The results will not happen overnight but be patient and use the products consistently as directed and you will get results.

I am loving these products and will keep using them.

Acute Care Skincare for Expression lines is $220.00 and the Redefine Skincare Regiman is $193.00.

You can find these products here along with many other great products.

I know to some these price may seem a little steep, but good skincare is really important and these products do work.

Now I need the MD micro exfoliant roller!! #expressyourself

What is your skincare routine??

XOXO,

Vicki

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Blushed Copper Review and Swatches

Becca is one of favorite makeup lines as you know if you have been with me for awhile.

I have been buying it since Neiman Marcus carried it. Ya that was a while ago.

They recently added " Blushed Copper " to their Shimmering Skin Perfector line.

The packaging is beautiful and so is the actual color of the product.

That being said there are some draw backs.  The color is much to dark for me to use as a highlighter so I thought to try it as a blush.  Only draw back is the shimmer factor.

I really love the color as I said before, but I have large pores and an oily T zone which is not a good thing when you add the shimmer factor it has :(

I have used it on my eyes and it is nice as an eyeshadow.

It definitely needs to used with a light hand, but I am still on the fence whether to keep it or not.

Retail is $40.00

It is definitely more than a J Lo glow and looks like a shiny penny.

What do you think?? I would love your feedback.

XOXO,

Vicki

Smashbox Crush on Blush Palette Review and Swatches

Shimmer, Warm Apricot, Guava

 Suntan, Rosy, Rosette

Move over Nars, looks like there is a NEW blush palette on the block that will give you a run for your money!

Smashbox Crush on Blush Palette.

This is sold at Nordstrom and Smashbox.com as of right now.

I don't usually get "wowed" by blush palettes anymore, but Smashbox seriously has hit it out of the park with this one.

The colors are all so gorgeous and wearable; the texture is smooth and silky and the pigmentation is awesome!!

Although it is nice and compact, it has a good sized mirror.

Retail is $45.00 ( $134 Value)

I highly recommend you take a peek at in next time you are in Nordstrom, or just order it online.

You won't be disappointed.

XOXO,

Vicki

Nuxe Paris / Reve De Miel Hand Cream and Lip Balm / HOT DEAL ALERT

I was at my local Target this weekend and was looking to buy the Nuxe Ultra nourishing lip balm, which I knew retails for $19.00.

Well my Target had it in the regular spot and no clearance sticker on the packaging and the price on the shelf said $5.70.

I was like "WHAT"? I went to scan it and sure enough it was only $5.70.

I have never tried it but have heard really good things about, that is why I decided to pick it up.

I also picked up the Nuxe hand and nail cream because it was only $6.00, and retail is $20.00.

I thought it might be a fluke but I went to another Target today and same thing the price is labeled $5.70 and $6.00.

You might want to take a look in your local Target.

Target online still has them for full retail price.

XOXO,

Vicki

Wet 'n Wild Vinyl Collection Palette Review and Swatches / Silver Lake Collection

Wet 'n Wild has a new collection collection for spring 2015 called Silver Lake.

It includes 5 different color palettes.

I only picked up two, since their palettes seem to be hit or miss.

Vinyl Collection is the first one above. ( the second one will be up soon)

It has very nice neutral colors with a bit of pizzaz.  I really like this particular palette.

All colors perform well, the top left matte shadow is a bit powdery but it is still very nice and easy to blend.

I highly recommend this palette if you see it in your local drug store.

I got mine at Walgreen's for $3.99

What are your thoughts on Wet 'n Wild products?

XOXO,

Vicki

Becca Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme in Honeycomb Review and Swatches

Swatched

Blended

Becca recently came out with a new concealer called "Ultimate Coverage Concealing Creme".

What it is:

A richly pigmented, weightless concealing cream that completely covers dark circles, imperfections, redness, and hyperpigmentation.

What it does:

This long-wearing, full-coverage concealer is formulated to cover dark circles, imperfections, redness, and hyperpigmentation completely. This cream delivers a uniquely lightweight formula with a high concentration of pigments and emollients for undetectable, crease-proof coverage without a sticky or cakey feel.

I have pretty dark hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, although this doesn't cover it completely,  it does make it less noticeable.

I have tried several concealers on the market and none of them cover it completely :(

This is by far one of the best I have tried.

A little goes along way , it is easy to go over board with this concealer so use a light hand.

I don't feel this is a lightweight formula as Becca claims it is.

That being said, it does get the job done!

It is very blendable and has AMAZING pigmentation.

I personally use it on my blemishes and hyper pigmentation.

I would need a lighter  shade for my under eye area.

Honeycomb is a great match for me.

I highly recommend if you need a good concealer you check this one out.

You can find it at Ulta and Sephora.

Retail is $32.00 and worth every penny!!

XOXO,

Vicki
