Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Gleam Kit Review and Swatches

Hard Candy, Mimosa, Starburst , Crushed Pearl

ABH has released two new highlight kits.

I have both of them, but I will start with Gleam since I think this is my favorite of the two.

Gleam is such a unique palette because you can wear it if you're cool toned or warm toned and light to dark skin tones can wear these shades.

This one I would say is definitely universal.

I love Hard Candy the most, it is a duo chrome shade and is gorgeous.

You get a lot of product for only $40.00.

I think this one is a must have if you can only get one of the sets.

I love that you can wear them as a blush topper for added dimension.

Stay tuned for the Glow kit ( Warm shades)  coming in a few days on the blog.

XOXO,

Vicki

Lorac Color Source Blush Review and Swatches / All 10 shades

When I came across the NEW Lorac Color Source Builable Blush display the other day at Ulta I got a little giddy.

I love Lorac products (which you already know)

I wanted them all, but I controlled myself and only purchased a few.

My first thoughts were to get Ultra Violet and Infrared , but realistically how often would I really wear those colors? Not often enough.

Who am I kidding?!? I had to get at least one bright color so it was Ultra Violet.

Keep reading to see what other colors I got.

They are gorgeous colors though, Aren't they?

Store Display

All swatch photos where taken in direct sunlight.
Ultra Violet, Vivid, Chroma, Spectra, Technicolor

Tinge, Prism, Cinematic, Aura, Infrared

I ended up choosing Cinematic-matte plum brown,  Aura-matte rose, Chroma-satin berry and of coarse Ultra Violet- purple violet color.

The blushes have a very soft , smooth texture and do have a little kick up. (very little)

They are very pigmented too which I love. I think the lighter shades might need to be built up some but definitely not the darker shades. Unless you want a really strong cheek color.

A major plus is these blushes build up seamlessly and look great.

Retail is $22.00.

Packing is really nice and sleek looking, gunmetal with magnetic lids.

These are so good you guys! You need to try them!!

XOXO,

Vicki

Burt's Bees Lipstick in Russet River and Juniper Water Review and Swatches

Burt's Bess just launched New lipsticks for 2016.

Look how adorable the packaging is? I mean the honeycombs on the lids are too cute.

They have 14 shades to choose from.

These apply very smooth on the lips and are super comfortable to wear.

I love the plethora of colors they offer

The color payoff on these is really awesome in general but it's an added bonus how they gliding on your lips and feeling like you are wearing nothing.

They are 100% natural and have Moringa oil, beeswax, raspberry seed oil and vitamin E.

You really need to try one or two of these.

I love how hydrated they keep my lips.

I will definitely be picking up a few more in the future.

Retail is 8.99

XOXO,

Vicki

Rimmel London OH MY GLOSS! Lipgloss Review and Swatches

Timeless Allure & Non Stop Gmamour

I picked these up on a whim a few weeks back at Walgreens.

They have so many pretty colors it was hard to narrow it down to just two.

Timeless Allure is a reddish pink with pink glitter flecks.

Non Stop Glamour is a nude beige with gold glitter flecks.

It claims to last up to 6 hours. Maybe the glitter does but not the actual gloss.

It is bit too sticky for my liking and the glitter does spread within a few hours of wear.

Retail is $6.49

Although these are not for me because the glitter does migrate down my face.

Im sure you glitter lovers will like these glosses.

XOXO,

Vicki

Wet 'n Wild Coloricon Ombre Blush First Impression and Swatches

Wet n Wild Ombre Blushes are hitting the shelves now!!

These look so pretty and remind me of M.A.C.'s Ombre blushes from the past.

Are they dupes?? Not at all

The pigmentation on these is very minimal.

They are a bit too chalky and they apply more like a highlight shade in my opinion.

Mai Tai Buy You a Drink
Top shade , Bottom Shade, Mixed

The Princess Daiquiris
Top shade , Bottom Shade, Mixed

In a Purple Haze
Top shade , Bottom Shade, Mixed

Retail is $4.99.

The names are adorable.

I got mine at Target but I am sure other drugstores have them as well.

I don't believe these are limited edition so you don't need to hunt them down.

Again they are very light in color. I hope they make a few darker shades.

XOXO,

Vicki

Kate Spade Wellesley Cabaret Pink Planner Review

For several years besides my passion for makeup and beauty products, I also have a love for planners and scrapbooking.

Here is the newest one added to my collection.

If you didn't know Kate Spade planners in pink, purple, orange and green are selling for outrageously high prices on eBay. I mean like $400 plus.  It is ridiculously insane.

People are actually paying the high prices for them too.

Those colors are limited edition but still the prices are insane.

Anyway I have been after a pink one for over a year and half but would never pay those prices.

Fast forward to now,  Kate Spade just released a new one for 2016 in Cabaret Pink and she is a beauty!!

These are sold at Kate Spade outlets only and are selling out fast and are becoming hard to find already.

I love this one so much!! It is a beautiful shade of pink.

I love that you can also use this a card holder/Wallet, if you like bigger wallets.

The pen in the picture is part of the Paper Chase collab with Target.

It matches perfect too.

Did I mention how much I love pink :)

Pink is my signature color!

I highly suggest if you want this planner you get the closest Kate Spade outlet asap.

Unfortunately they won't ship or take phone orders unless you are physically in a Kate Spade store and the sales person has to do it for you.

XOXO,

Vicki

Sephora Favorite Give Me Some Nude Lip Review and Swatches

Sephora has a new lip set on the block and it is pretty bad ass!

Check out the first released one from last season here .

You will also notice a $3.00 price hike in the new set and probably going forward I assume.

                Laura Mercier-Milky Way, Nars-Dolce Vita, Tarte-Namaste, Marc Jacobs-Prim Rose, NudeStix-Whisper
LM-Milky Way, Nars-Dolce Vita, Tarte-Namaste, Marc Jacobs-PrimRose, NudeStix-Whisper

I usually stay away from the nude lip trend because it usually makes me look like death and it is very hard for me to find a good nude lip color in general.

This set on the other hand has some really nice nude shades and I can wear most of them.

Here is what you get:

- 0.01 oz Marc Jacobs Beauty Mini (P)Outliner Longwear Lip Pencil in Prim(Rose)
- 0.12 oz NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick in Dolce Vita
- 0.07 oz Laura Mercier Milky Way Crème Smooth Lipstick in Miky Way (nude)
- 0.088 oz NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Crayon in Whisper
- 0.10 oz Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste Nude

This is limited edition and will probably set out quick so if you want it , you better be fast on picking up the set.

The packaging is adorable too.

You get two full size items in this set, Nars Dolce Vita and Nude Stix whisper,

The $28.00 price is well worth the price of admission.

I highly recommend this set.

XOXO,

Vicki

Beautylish Lucky Bag 2016

So was my bag lucky? Let's take a look.

Becca Ombre Rouge Palette $40.00

Kevyn Aucoin Matte Bronzing Veil $48.00

It Cosmetics Hello lashes $24.00

RMS Beauty Lip & Skin Balm in Simply Vanilla $25.00

Wayne Goss Brush 5 $20.00

I also got a mini bottle of Bioderma valued at $6.95

I believe this is my fourth year of buying the Beautylish Lucky bag.

It is $75.00 plus $6.00 shipping.

You are guaranteed a value of $150 or more.

This year my bag total was $163.95 which is probably the lowest value bag I have received thus far.

It is always a gamble purchasing a bag, so if you want to play it safe I suggest not buying one.

Although I didn't love my bag this year it was still o.k. and I knew the chances going in.

So my thoughts:  Would I buy one again? ABSOLUTELY!!

That is the fun part of getting one , you don't know what you are going to get and some have extra special goodies included.

I seriously look forward to buying one every year the day after Christmas.

I love Beautylish and they always have super fast shipping and great customer service.

XOXO,

Vicki

Cover Girl Oh Sugar! LipBalms in Caramel and Taffy Review and Swatches

Cover Girl just launched their " Oh Sugar!" lipstick / lip balms recently.

It was buzzed around the beauty world that these are suppose to be a drugstore dupe for the high end Fresh sugar lip treatments.

So are they??? Check below…...

I think they have a funky smell to them , like cola scented lip balms, remember those little cheap ones when you were a little kid.

I thought Taffy would be pinker since the cap is. To my surprise it is actually more pigmented than Caramel which I thought would show up more and be the darker of the two shades.

So are these as good as Fresh Sugar or similar?   No , definitely not.

I like that these are in the shape of a lipstick bullet for more precise application but the formula is not at all like Fresh sugar treatment ones.

These do claim to be vitamin infused so who knows.

Overall these are nice but nothing special so you don't need to run out and get them.

Retail is $6.49.

XOXO,

Vicki

Maybelline Master Prime Eyeshadow Base Review and Swatches

I was pretty excited when I saw the display on the shelf  at Bed, Bath and Beyond a few weeks back.

They had three different colors and formulas.

I got two of them ( Smooth and Illuminate) the third one was a bit too dark so I skipped it.

Initially I thought I would love illuminate , because…...just look at the color.

It is a gorgeous metallic champagne taupe color.

Surprisingly illuminate creased pretty quickly on me and the color just seemed to blend in eventually , I felt like I needed a base for this particular primer. Which is a bummer :(

Smooth & Illuminate

Next up I tried Smooth and it did brighten up my lids and seemed promising at first but didn't seem to make my shadows last any longer than if I had worn them without a primer nor did it make them go on smoother.

I do have oily lids so maybe this was a factor but both of these did not perform well on me.

Retail is $6.49 each.

I debated on keeping illuminate because the color is darn pretty but I can buy a metallic shadow for around the same price ( Makeup Geek or the New L'Oreal Les Monos

I ended up returning both of them.

Have any of you tried this?? I would love to know if they worked for you.

XOXO,

Vicki

Wet 'n Wild Illuminating Palette in Catwalk Pink Review and Swatches

individual

blended together

Wet 'n Wild has reformulated several old fan favorites and they are hitting the shelves already for spring 2016.

You will see several reviews on the new items coming up on my blog in the next week or two.

First up is Catwalk Pink illuminating palette. It is much bigger than the older version but it is not a new color.

This is so pretty and super easy to blend. Down side is it does kick up a lot of product which can be wasteful so make sure to use a light hand.

Although I am pleased with the performance , it is a bit too shimmery for my personal liking.

I know many of you will love this one :)

Retail is $3.99 , I got mine at Walgreens.

I mean for the price you can't beat it. If you love shimmer you will want to check this one out.

XOXO,

Vicki
